John Zollinger
Treatment Assistant
I was born in Los Angeles, CA, then grew up in Colorado. In 1978 I enlisted in the US Army and was stationed over in Germany for 3 years during Peace Time. After leaving the service, I came back to the states and started doing long-haul truck driving. My drug addiction started around the age of 15, and truck driving gave me the opportunity to progress in that lifestyle. For 30+ years I struggled in and out of my addiction, until July 5th, 2006. I woke up and said, I’m going to die if I don’t stop what I’m doing.
I moved around for a bit until I came to Great Falls, MT and immersed myself in a Discipleship Program for about 8 years. It taught me how to live life sober and how to rely on God. In 2017 I joined the Rocky team as a Treatment Assistant. Working here and working with the clients I discovered an understanding and passion about recovery. I lead a pretty simple, honest, humble, chaos free life. I don’t even own a TV. I’m pretty much a home body and enjoy reading, unless I’m out fishing for Walleye.
