Amanda Norlin
Treatment Assistant
My name is Amanda Norlin and I am a recovering drug addict. I am beyond grateful and blessed to have the opportunity to come back home to RMTC as a Treatment Assistant. My sobriety date is October 6, 2023 which I am both humbled by and extremely proud of as I have struggled with drug addiction for over 13 years and severe codependency for over 25 years. I have been around recovery and 12 step programs since the day I was born as my parents met in AA and have been sober for over 40 years each. I always say that I was destined to become an addict or an alcoholic but that I should have known better; unfortunately, that’s not how this disease works. I could talk the talk but I struggled to walk the walk and as a result, even after countless inpatient and outpatient treatments, I finally hit the rock bottom that saved my life. I am a die hard Montana Grizzlies fan with a heart and a passion for finding a purpose in the pain and using that experience to help others who don’t think there’s a way out of the insanity, chaos, and destruction. I can’t say how exactly recovery happens but what I do know is that when we cease fighting anything and everyone and accept life on life’s terms, that surrender, humility, and God’s grace can truly lead to miracles…because I’m one of them.
