Equine Therapy Assistant / Treatment Assistant
I am the Equine Therapy Assistant to Jeanne here at RMTC. I was adopted into a farm and ranch family here in Great Falls. I grew up doing rodeo and working on the ranch. I went to the University of Provenance and Northern Montana College doing collegiate rodeo and completed a Criminal Justice degree. I currently participate in the National Rodeo Association (NRA) in barrel racing, goat tying, breakaway, and team roping.
I have 8 horses, 2 of them were rescued from a kill pen and given a 2nd chance at life. I also have 3 dogs; Rowdy is a Hanging Tree, Pip is a toy Aussie and Sage is a registered therapy dog and gets to enjoy work with me most days! The clients love her and she loves them!
A year ago, I began with Jeanne out at the arena, and love every minute of it. Watching people get 2nd chances at a new life and watching their confidence grow through the Equine Program is so rewarding. Also, while working as a Treatment Assistant as well, I get to observe the growth of each client through their program.
